What the higher rate buys, and what still needs to be asked for.
Luxury travel advice
For health questions, a travel clinic has the final word. For visas, check the embassy of each country on the route.

1.What fully inclusive means
Most luxury camps include all meals, selected drinks, two activities a day, laundry and airstrip transfers. Premium wines, spa treatments and private vehicles are extra unless the stay says otherwise. The quote lists each one plainly.
2.Flying between camps
Light aircraft are part of this style. They save a day's driving and land minutes from camp. Luggage must be soft-sided and is usually limited to 15 to 20 kilograms per person. Fares are confirmed on the quote.
3.Private guides and vehicles
A private vehicle guarantees you choose when to stop and how long to stay at a sighting. It is a real cost and is only included where the itinerary says so. Ask for it on the quote if it matters to you.
4.When to go
Luxury camps in prime months book out a year ahead, particularly in Botswana and the Mara from July to October. The green season offers the same camps at lower rates with fewer guests.
Travel by month5.Still a quote before payment
A high published rate is a sample, not an invoice. You accept a quote, then payment is the last step.

Quick facts
Luxury on this site means smaller camps, a slower pace, and often a light-aircraft leg between parks. The higher published rate is that style of travel. Butler service and a private guide are stated only when the itinerary says them.
The camp is the luxury
Read the stay: the camp name, the meals, and the nights. That is what you are paying for in the sample rate.
Flying between parks
Where a day mentions a light aircraft, the quote confirms the fare. It is not silently added to every luxury title.
Selected drinks when the stay says so
Fully inclusive stays list all meals and selected drinks. Other stays list the board basis in plain words.
Still a quote before payment
A high sample rate is not a booking. You accept a quote, then payment is the last step.
What every trip on this site includes
- Published rates are per person sharing, in US dollars, shown in the currency you choose while browsing.
- Nights, meals and the activities named on each stay are inside the rate. International flights, visas, insurance, tips and unlisted drinks are not.
- No single-room supplement is charged, and children pay the same per-person rate as adults.
- Wildlife sightings are never promised. Guides, parks and seasons are chosen to give the best chance; the animals decide the rest.
- Gorilla itineraries include one permit per person per trek unless the page says two.
- A written quote comes first. Nothing is booked and nothing is paid until you accept it.
