Overview
The first night is at the Novotel Convention & Spa in Antananarivo. The next day the route turns northeast, with a flight to Maroantsetra and a boat along the coast to Masoala Forest Lodge.
The lodge is a cluster of thatched houses and a deck under the trees, on a beach of sand and black rock. The published plan is seven nights. The days are for walks in the forest, a walk after dark, snorkelling, kayaking, and a visit with a nearby community.
On the last morning there is breakfast on the sea deck, the boat back to Maroantsetra, the flight to Antananarivo, and a transfer to the international terminal. The published rate is a guide. Nothing is paid until you accept a quote.

You land at Ivato and transfer to the Novotel Convention & Spa for one night. Antananarivo is a hillside city. If the arrival time allows, Tsarasaotra, a small wetland park known for waterbirds, is the usual short outing from town.
The hotel is the city stop only. The rainforest part of the trip starts the next day.
